Kind but Not Nice
Kind But Not Nice podcast started as “Unhinged.” It was originally created with the purpose of providing insight to the lives of two college girls and their experiences. It was also created to supply myself and my co-host a way to showcase our tactical media skills. My co-host, Camryn was a Media Studies and Production major, tasked with editing and sound/audio production. As a Communication Social Influence major, I take care of any and all copywriting needs, the entire brand strategy and creation and all social media needs. After graduation we took time off as we settled into full time jobs and a new chapter of our lives. During that time off we wanted to rebrand to create a podcast that better aligned with the lives we were living. I pitched the idea Kind But Not Nice. This section will break down the creation, reasoning and examples of the rebrands execution. Kind But Not Nice has since ended as of September 2023. As of January 2024 I started a solo podcast What’s All That Yappin’?

The name Kind But Not Nice was based on the saying used to describe the Northeast/East Coast. “Those in the South are nice but not kind and those in the North are kind but not nice.” This saying is also used to explain East coast Vs. West coast. We went with this name for a multitude of reasons.
SEO Purposes: there are no other podcasts with this name.
Intention: Camryn and I both were born and raised in the North East by women who were born and raised in the North East, whose mothers were also born an raised in the North East - the culture of the North East runs deep.
Current Correlation: Camryn and I were both scattered across the North East due to long distance relationships, apartments and family scattering us between CT, PA, MA, NJ, and NY.
